On Thursday March 24, Eggs Up Grill will be hosting a Pancake Dinner from 5-7pm to assist with medical expenses following Eli’s cancer treatment. Eli is a new Rome resident but at just the young age of 19 years, was diagnosed with cancer that had already spread to his back and spine by the time of his diagnosis. He has spent the last two months in South Carolina, undergrowing aggressive treatment, and will return to Rome in mid-March. His positive attitude and assurance of success has buoyed all our spirits as he continues to work towards winning this battle.
The Benefit Dinner will focus on our pancake-based dishes including Pancakes ala carte, Three Little Deuces (pancakes, eggs and meat), Peaches ‘n Cream, and our newest Limited Time Offer, Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes! Dishes will be sold at current menu prices and all profits will go directly to benefit Eli’s medical needs.
Penny Wright, Director of Operations and Co-Owner of Eggs Up Grill Rome, stated “We are hopeful the community will support our effort to help this young man so that his current medical battle does not affect his future more than necessary, particularly financially. We are very thankful for the love Rome has shown us since our opening in March of 2021 and are so glad to be a part of this loving community!”
