Job Summary

This position provides enrollment services support and serves as an initial point of contact for the campus/site.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors both on campus and virtually; acts as a central referral resource, providing basic information and assistance regarding the college
• Serves as a general representative in the phone queue
• Hosts the virtual HUB
• Refers prospective and continuing students, as well as community visitors, to appropriate personnel
• Provides information and assistance regarding admissions, financial aid, and enrollment services
• Receives and screens enrollment documentation; scans documents and prepares for courier
• Monitors and responds to the 411 Ticketing System
• Reviews and forwards incoming email to appropriate personnel
• Assists students with general computer and printer issues and resetting personal identification numbers and passwords
• Escorts students to appropriate office
• Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent

• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years


Proposed Salary

$15.96 per hour

• Knowledge of federal, state, University System of Georgia and Board of Regents and institutional policies and procedures
• Knowledge of general information in the areas of GHC admissions, registration, financial aid, and student resources
• Knowledge of campus/site specific information & practices
• Knowledge of office practices and procedures
• Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs to include Microsoft Office Suite
• Skill in the provision of customer services
• Skill in oral and written communication
